Answer The Call is a campaign of the South Dakota Synod, ELCA, to encourage and develop leadership for the future of our Lutheran community.

The campaign’s goal is to raise $3 million over a minimum three-year period. These funds will be for the Answer The Call Mission, Fund for Leaders in Mission, Pastors’ Seminary Debt Reduction, ELCA’s Special Needs Retirement Fund.

Over the next seven to ten years aproximately half of our South Dakota Synod clergy will be approaching retirement or have retired.

The Answer the Call Mission is an ongoing program to find, mentor and support pastoral leaders for our South Dakota Synod.
